Public Action
The CPNA hosts an ongoing Development committee to connect and empower residents to provide feedback on development proposals within the our boundaries as it pertains to affordable housing, zoning amendments, green space etc.
Some of the things we work on:
Tracking and reporting on development proposals within the neighbourhood. We attempt to keep residents informed on public meetings, how proposals fit with the current zoning/official plan and how they might impact our neighbourhood.
We advocate for improving city amenities in step with increasing population such as increased park space, traffic calming etc.
Traffic concerns. We connect with King Edwards parent group to address parking, speeding and traffic volume
GO transit (wrapping up)
The CPNA worked with municipal, provincial and federal agencies to try and reduce the impact of the siding on residents. Improvments that were made included moving the earliest train departues to another location and reducing the use of the train bell. Copies of historical documents related to this can be requested through the CPNA.
